Cleaning and passivation
Cleaning and passivation
Hygienic cleanliness is of great importance in the manufacture of surgical instruments. Surgical instruments also require a resistant surface to the cleaning agents used in hospitals.
Therefore, cleaning and passivation are of great importance in medical technology. Passivation refers to the spontaneous formation or targeted generation of a protective layer on a metal, which prevents or greatly slows down the corrosion of the base material.
In our cleaning and passivation systems, the instruments pass through an alkaline solution and a pre-rinsing stage which are equipped with ultrasonic devices. The instruments then pass through the passivation solution, which is also equipped with ultrasonic equipment. After the final fine rinsing step is completed, the instruments enter a hot air/vacuum dryer.
All processes are validated and all process parameters are monitored and readjusted.
